Contemporary Conifer Border

A simple, minimal design using foliage and a palette of yellows and greens to achieve a stylish statement.

Conifers used:

  • Golden Irish yew (Taxus baccata 'Sandishii') ­ a striking, golden conifer with a column shape.
  • Arborvitae Rheingold (Thuja occidentalis 'Rheingold') ­ a brilliant fiery bronze colour, with a broad-based conical shape.
  • False cypress (Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Minima Aurea') ­ a conifer with soft, tightly-packed golden yellow foliage, in a rounded shape with a slight conical apex.
  • Common yew (Taxus baccata) ­ bushy dark green foliage.
