Traditional Conifer Border - approximately four square metres.
A combination of traditional conifers and other plants. The foliage of the shrubs and perennials has been chosen to contrast with the strong foliage of the conifers. It is envisaged some rocks will be used in this border.
Conifers used:
White spruce (Picea glauca 'Daisy's White') a broad, conical dwarf spruce with new growth that comes through light yellow.
Japanese dwarf cedar (Cryptomeria japonica 'Golden Promise') a globe-shaped conifer with fresh green foliage that comes through creamy white as new growth.
Japanese cedar Sekkan-sugi (Cryptomeria japonica 'Sekkan-Sugi') a graceful conical shape, with new growth that comes through gold and white coloured.
Carbery gold juniper (Juniperus X media 'Carbery Gold') a low semi-prostrate conifer with gold semi-evergreen foliage.
